# Deposit money

Click **Deposit** in the top bar of any screen. You'll be asked how you're sending money:

| Option | Use it for |
| - | - |
| **Domestic Bank** | Pulling money from your own US bank (ACH), or getting details for a wire. |
| **Wallet Address** | Sending USDC from an external wallet. |
| **Brokerage** | Moving holdings from another broker. See [Transfer a brokerage account](https://docs.capital.ai/app/brokerage-transfer.md). |

**International Bank** isn't available yet.

## From your US bank (ACH)

### First time only: connect your bank

1. On **Connect Bank**, click **Connect**.
2. Find your bank and sign in. Capital AI uses Plaid to connect securely.
3. You'll see "Bank connected".

### Send the deposit

1. On **Set Amount**, enter the **Amount**.
2. Under **From**, pick the bank. To use another bank, click **Add Account**.
3. Click **Send**.

You'll see "Deposit submitted". The deposit appears in [your activity](https://docs.capital.ai/app/activity.md) as pending, and usually arrives within a few business days.

> [!NOTE]
>
> There's no confirmation screen. **Send** submits the deposit, so check the amount first.

## By wire, or ACH from another bank

1. Choose **Domestic Bank**, then **View Instructions**.
2. Copy the **Beneficiary name**, **Account number**, **Routing number** and **Bank address**.
3. Send the money from your other bank as you would to any US account.

Your account details are also on Home, in the **Account Details** panel.

## From a crypto wallet (USDC)

1. Choose **Wallet Address**.
2. Pick the **Sender Network** and the **Asset**.
3. Scan the QR code or copy the address, and send from your wallet.

>
> Only send USDC on the network you picked. Funds sent on the wrong network or in the wrong asset may be lost.

## Where it lands

Deposits land in your deposit account at Erebor, our bank, and show on [Transactions](https://docs.capital.ai/app/activity.md) and in Home's **Account Details**.

They are separate from the exchange balance shown as **Cash** on Home, which buys contracts on the markets. Capital AI credits that balance once when your account opens; deposits do not add to it, and Offtake purchases are not charged to it.
