# Buy compute from a provider

Click **Offtake** in the rail. The **Available** tab lists every listing providers have put up: a basis (their machines in one place, in one configuration) for one month.

![Offtake listings](https://mintcdn.com/capital-ai/2r_nz6EQ_1nQxtlD/images/offtake.jpg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=2r_nz6EQ_1nQxtlD\&q=85\&s=d971b0301f86e1ee686c0db874641acb)

| Column | What it is |
| - | - |
| **Identifier** | The basis code. The same code appears every month the provider lists. |
| **Hardware**, **Memory**, **Network** | The GPU model and the per-node memory and interconnect. |
| **Region** | Where the machines are. |
| **Quantity** | GPUs listed, as nodes × GPUs per node when the configuration is stated. |
| **Start Date**, **Duration** | The delivery month. Every listing is one month. |
| **Price (GPU/hr)** | The asking price per GPU-hour. |

Use the filter icons on each column, or the search at the top right.

## Buy a listing

1. Click a row. The **Details** panel opens with the full configuration: nodes, CPU, memory, storage and network per node, the **Term**, the **Price**, the **Estimated Price** for the whole listing, and your **Available Balance**.

2. Enter how many **GPUs** you want and, if you'd rather name your own price, a **Price** per GPU-hour and a note.

3. Click **Buy** to take the asking price, or **Make offer** to send your terms.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Make offer** sends immediately: there is no confirmation step. The request is recorded and the team is emailed.

**Buy** approves the purchase at once. **Make offer** sends your terms to the team, who reach out by email, agree the deal with you, and approve it for every GPU the listing has left. On approval the contracts are **minted** into your exchange account on two books: the basis's BASIS contract for that month, for example `BBA-11-26`, and the GPU contract for the same GPU and month, `H100SXM-11-26`. Your **Cash** balance is not charged; the commercial terms with the provider are settled outside the app.

## Follow it

* **Offers** lists your open requests and their status: **requested**, **approved** (minting), **rejected**.
* **History** lists what was minted.
* The mint shows on Home under **Balance**, on [Compute](https://docs.capital.ai/app/compute.md), and in [Transactions](https://docs.capital.ai/app/activity.md) as a **Deposit** on the **Mint** rail from the provider.
